MANA MO (Maritime and Archipelagic Awarness Month)

With reference to Proclamation No. 316 declaring the month of September every year as Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (Mana Mo). This year’s  theme is “Iisang Bangka Tayo: Unity During Uncertain Times.” This year, the Philippine Consulate General Dubai and Northern Emirates together with the Department of Foreign Affairs, Philippines, organized a webinar where over 70 students from Bath Spa University Academic Centre RAK participated.

Mana Mo aims to promote awareness and appreciation of the Philippines’ maritime and archipelagic concerns that are integral both to national security and the development of the country. The event also encourages stronger participation in the task of protecting the seas and shores, even more so as we face increasing challenges that are threatened by climate change.
