BSU RAK’s Preparations for QAA; CEO Raja Sajjad Hussain Enhances Benefits at Bath Spa University Academic Centre RAK
8 June 2023: CEO Raja Sajjad Hussain recently convened a meeting with Bath Spa University Academic Centre RAK staff to provide updates on the organisation’s benefits and wellness initiatives. The gathering covered important topics, including the international Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) activities and new employee benefits.
The session commenced with an insightful discussion led by Dr. Nino Decenorio, Dr. NM Brohi, Dr. Liju Thomas, Mr. Saqib Bhatti, Mr. Iftikhar Khan and Ms. Arooj Baig regarding the QAA’s ongoing international standard review and evaluation introduced by RAKEZ. They highlighted the importance of the academic community, including students, alumni, faculty, staff, management, parents, and corporate partners, coming together to fulfil the requirements set by the QAA. The staff warmly welcomed this development and assured the BSU QA team of their full support. Dr. Nino encouraged everyone to regularly visit the website and other social media platforms for the latest news, events, and updates.
Afterwards, CEO Raja Sajjad Hussain took the floor, expressing his delight in addressing the staff members he considers part of his extended family. He shared the organisation’s humble beginnings in 2014, leading up to its present position, where all employees could receive improved working conditions and benefits. With great enthusiasm, he announced several new benefits that would be implemented:
1. Yearly Ticket Allowance: Starting this year, AED 1000 will be added to the annual ticket for all employees.
2. Salary Bonus: As declared in the meeting, employees will be given a minimum 25% salary bonus at the end of the calendar year.
3. Revised Weekend Policy: Effective 30 June 2023, Fridays will be observed as full days off, resulting in a two-day weekend for the University. Previously, Fridays were half-days.
4. Employee Support Fund: A new employee support fund will be established to assist in emergencies, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
5. Salary Increment: Employees can expect a salary increment in September this year.
Concluding the assembly, CEO Raja Sajjad Hussain expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff for their dedicated efforts toward the organisation’s welfare. He emphasised that as the University continues to grow, the benefits for all its employees will grow in tandem.
