Well-being, Special Needs and Disability Support Services
At Bath Spa University Academic Centre RAK, we are dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for our students. Our Wellbeing & Personal Development Services focus on mental health support, personal growth, physical well-being, and academic success. We ensure that students have access to counselling, health services, structured well-being programs, and disability support to help them thrive during their university journey.
Mental Health & Counselling Support
University life can be both exciting and challenging, and we recognize that students may need emotional and psychological support at various stages. Our Mental Health & Counselling Services offer professional guidance to help students manage stress, anxiety, personal challenges, and academic pressures.
- Confidential One-on-One Counselling – Our licensed counsellors provide personalized support for students facing academic, emotional, or personal difficulties.
- Mental Health Workshops – Regular stress management, mindfulness, and emotional resilience training sessions are held to support student well-being.
- Support Groups – Students can join peer support groups to connect with others facing similar challenges.
- 24/7 Mental Health Helpline – A dedicated support helpline ensures that students can access assistance anytime they need it.
How to Access This Service:
- Schedule a counselling appointment via the Student Support Office.
- Attend mental health workshops announced throughout the semester.
- Reach out to the 24/7 mental health helpline for immediate assistance.
The related procedure for operations of pastoral care is to be issued with the approval of the program leader of Psychology department. Generally following guidelines to be adhered:
- Sessions to be normally scheduled (except emergency clients). Session logs to be maintained and kept confidential.
- Records to be maintained for 2 years after the closure of the case. Timings for BSU RAK students, staff and faculty be promulgated.
- Day to day coordination aspects is to be handled by the head of pastoral care.
- Financial Aspects /Fees The pastoral Care Services will be provided free of cost.

The health and well-being of our students is a priority at Bath Spa University Academic Centre RAK. We provide comprehensive first aid and medical services to ensure that students receive immediate care and emergency assistance when needed.
- On-Campus First Aid – Trained staff members are available to provide immediate medical assistance.
- Emergency Medical Referrals – If needed, students will be referred to partner hospitals and clinics for further treatment.
- Health Awareness Campaigns – The university conducts regular health check-ups, vaccination drives, and awareness programs.
How to Access This Service:
- Visit the Student Affairs Office for first aid assistance.
- Contact the Student Support Team for medical referrals.
- Participate in health awareness programs organized on campus.
